ELT Manifolds
Guys I don’t really post that much on here mainly sitting back and reading/researching my turbo kit. Now my plan from the get go has been a full race kit. But now that there are so many new kits out there I’m starting to like "joeyBalls" PFAB twin scroll kit. I will only be running 10psi at first until i save up for a built block but I want to stay under 600whp as my goal. Now I know a full race will make ~50whp more then a log manifold. If im not mistaking a ELT twin scroll will make ~30+wtq through out the power band more then a FR manifold and spool quicker.
Now I’m wondering...what are the other pros and cons of both kits or is a PFAB ELT twin scrolls always going to out perform a FR manifold??

Sup Donald, first off, I do not have ANY experience with boosted s2000s at all. However I do have experience with single and twin-scroll turbos. First off, a twin-scroll turbo most likely will not make any more power than a standard turbo. Its only difference is better street-ability due to more torque and good transient response.
I'll compare a friend's FPred (which is a modified stock Evo 9 turbo) Evolution to my younger brother's GT35R'd Evolution. My friend made a little over 520whp on E85. Not sure at what boost pressure but I'm betting over 28psi. My brother made 480whp (23psi or so) on pump 93, good but 35R's are really only happy over 30psi on Evos. Certainly the 35r is a much bigger turbo but the FPred Evo makes more power and really, we're really just gonna compare driving characteristics.
On a 35r - everytime if you shift slow or if you like to shift lazily (like me), you would lose boost and the turbo would lose its footing. Hell, if you didn't shift like a pro when racing, you'll be off boost. Then you had to build up boost again when you shifted up to the next gear and wait for the torque to come again. It was like a slight bog every time you shifted. Trust me, don't believe anyone saying otherwise lag is not overrated, it sucks. Once the boost hit though, it pulled like a freight train. Still, I liked his car better when he was bone stock with a tune making 300whp if you believe it or not.
On a Red which is a twin-scroll (like all stock turbo Evolutions) , the response was so much quicker that it felt like a V8. It just felt better. When you shift lazily, it doesn't feel like there is a dead spot before there is power. You felt like it did not lose boost at every shift. Also the response going from partial throttle to full throttle was leagues better. Do that in the 35R and you're gonna have to wait a slight bit for the power to come on. Its not too drastic, but damn its annoying.
Hope that helps. Probably didnt....
Btw, Full-Races kits are great. Twin-scroll or not, it'll make a boatload of power.

I was going with a pfab elt but got a deal on full race I think that fullrace the way it's designed a true equal length and the way the dp and turbo is placed gives you the most maximum flow. I'll be tuning soon and be posting numbers soon
