You have an AP1. The original poster has an AP2. 4.77s will do a completely different job for him.

Guys with AP2 cars really have to be careful what (if any) "gears" they put into their cars. Remember, your cars 1st to 4th gears are already like having an AP1 with 4.3 FD gears. If you put 4.77s in, you will limit your top speed to 130 mph and cruising rpm of 5000 rpm @80 mph. Is this what you want?
Wheel spin is a function of launch rpm and you can have lots of it with a stock AP2 car.

IMO 4.77 is way short for F.I.

Custom setup by Midnight Performance. I just upgraded to a GT35R and it should be done next week. I am running low compression (8.8:1) and would like to get to my power band a little quicker. I am considering 456's or 4.44's. I hope to be at 400whp+ and will make my decision after my new setup is done. If traction is a huge issue with my new setup, I will reconsider gears.

With 302whp at 7.8psi, I had no traction problems with my 245 Kumho's and 17" BBS RGR's and Ohlins coilovers. Get some new and bigger tires and you should be a lot better with traction.

I definately need some new tires(wider). Im in the process of getting the 2mm HG and up the boost quite a bit, im thinkin 14 psi. The cars in the shop as we speak hopefully it wont be to long. Im hoping to tag around 375-400 whp, but im not goin to get my hopes up
