I'd go with Mase if you have $10K to spend and want a turbo. $10K should cover the kit, gauges, clutch, install, catch can (if you want it), exhaust (I think everything else comes with the kit), and tune. I don't have a FI car personally, but like you I've done quite a bit of reading.

The only reason im even considering sc/ is because of its plug and play ability. Ive always been a turbo guy, just never did a custom/ aftermarket set up. My car is my daily driver i dont wanna have fix things every other day either. Is your car DD?
Turbo setup is as plug and play as a sc

I drive mine as much as I can. Mostly on nice days since I'm too lazy to clean it all the time. I store the car in the winters though since we have pretty heavy snow where I live.

I beat the crap out of my car and it's fun. 400 is boring and feeling slower and slower every day. I can't wait to turn this car up.

Turbo it correctly, have a good tuner work his magic on the dyno and as long as you do all the maint, keep an eye on everything you should be good to go. ESP at mid 300whp you shouldn't even think twice. And when you do get tired of that power (trust me you will) you have the ability to turn it up with a trip to the tuner and you will thank everyone that told you to turbo your car

Even a well thought out turbo setup can have many downtimes that are out of your hand. Just look at the many people who have turbo's smoking right out of the box. Any way you look at it there is more to go wrong, and they need to be closely monitered. Also think of use, if you plan on hitting up a long track at any point, forget it turbo is too much trouble.

For power though they are hard to beat. If you want to daily though I would go supercharged.

i live in orlando and DD my car 426hp. i love always messing with the car so im always under the hood to monitor and doublecheck things. i know from numerous turbo builds, if you do it right the first time and show your car some loving its not bad, if your pushing 600-700 hp then thats a different story
Sweet! Im only looking to get 400whp max and im willing to take every precaution to run it safetly. Nice build bro ill be in o town in august for a couple days.... Hope to see ya on the road!

I drive my Turbo S nearly every day that (except when it rains). I have really only had to check the oil more frequently and re-torque nuts (I am OCD) frequently. I have a PFab twin-scroll GT35R and love it. I have a dual UR exhaust and no cats. Hondata KPro and a good tuner. Loads of fun. I also had the CT S/C before the turbo. No comparison. Turbo soooo much more fun. If you spend a little extra time covering all you wires and hoses in fire-wrap and turbo blankets, the under hood problems are minimal. Tap the girdle for oil return and no problems with oil back-up. Overall, turbo a little extra work initially, but much more fun in this car. Drive up to Mase and let him tune it. Hell, buy his kit and let him install it and tune it. Just show up and drive it.....
damn, I didnt realize you made that power on P-Tunings DD Dyno, that thing must MOVE
