Good F.I. setup....?
I am looking to F.I. my car soon. I was going to buy a bare block and head and build a motor on the side so i dont have to put the s2000 down for a couple of months. But i ran into a guy who wants to trade me a built motor for my stock+ some cash. The built motor has:
Block was sleeved by ERL
Je 9:1 pistons
Crower Pro Billet rods
head was ported and polished with 1mm over intake and exhaust valves.
I was wondering would it be ok to run my car for a couple of months with that motor setup without a turbo kit?
Would I still feel the same kind of power (without the turbo kit just reg. mods that I have now until i get the turbo kit) as I do with my semi modded car?
Last is the setup a good built motor to put 500-600 hp and still be Daily Driven?

The car will not be anywhere close to as fast a stock motor with mods due to the fact that the motor your are talking about has a much lower compression ratio, but yes you could drive around like this until you go F.I.
There are plenty of people running essentially "stock" block (with 3mm head gasket) that have made it into the 500whp club. I doubt these cars are daily driven though. If you want to DD a 500-600hp S2k the built block would ensure a long life.
You may want to take this discussion to the F.I. section of the forum.
