Well I suppose it makes sense if you cant push more then 6psi to be carb legal, might as well make it spool as fast as possible.

Why does it have to be 6psi specifically? Or is that some ball park figure?

Its ballpark based on the original kit to be carb legal, just like the carb legal Comptech supercharger. To be carb legal you have to retain either the factory injectors and so a mechanical rising rate FMU to deliver the added fuel needed and that's going to limit you to around those pressures, or in the case of the greddy turbo i imagine its based on some total emissions output while also needing to still retain the cars factory ecu and their piggy back.

The original turbo kit as I understand it came with larger 550cc injectors and the Emanage Ultimate piggy back to control them, so its a little fuzzy to me how they get around the larger injectors to still be carb legal other then the turbo is just more efficient then a supercharger so they were able to go through different standards of measure with the EPA to be carb except, because as a past user of Emanage Ultimate, the same set up has the ability to successfully run 1000cc injectors and therefor way more power output.

Based on this blurry pic, no CARB love for AP1's.

My old miata with a GTX2860 made ~370whp out of the crappy econobox 1.8L. I know a miata BP is miles away from a F20, but for a 400whp kit that turbo seems appropriately sized to me. The F20's powerband is already so crazy, running a 600hp capable turbo at 6psi just to make 350whp just doesn't make any sense to me.

It's not like anyone in their right mind would buy this thing with the intention of putting together a big power car anyway. From an entry level FI S2k standpoint the manifold, downpipe, turbo, etc all look pretty solid to me

Guys, there is a bunch of info in the old Ultimate Greddy Turbo kit thread (most recent pages). They already did a prototype setup on Evasive's employee car.

@EvasiveMotorsports please clear some things up about this kit.

I had a greedy kit on my civic and it was perfect till i sucked up a screw in the filter. After a rebuild the car ran like a dream; I really miss the kit. It was easy to install easy upkeep and easy to tune.
I wouldn't mind running there new kit on my current s waiting for more info.

Why does everyone think a turbo kit has to make 500whp to be worthwhile? A 350whp S2000 that has crazy midrange you'd get from a smaller turbo would be serious fun and more than fast enough to get you in trouble. This seems like a setup more for a drivers car.

Too many people focused on a number for bragging rights. Only big complaint I have is not using a t3 flange vs the smaller t25 flange.. I'm sure the engine will be choked a bit up top but as others stated it makes sense because they had to make it carb legal. Otherwise looks like a nice kit and definitely an upgrade over the original. I always find it interesting when people call 350-400whp a "starter kit." I guess 350-400whp might be kind of boring if you don't turn the steering wheel..
