Default greddy turbo kit

weird thing happened to me. I was doing some data logging on the wideband. And going through the gear and such. Then doing a 3rd gear pull was going well and right when vtec was changing over it cut out and acted like a rev limiter was at 6k. The check engine light came on.. No it didn't flash. Of course I have a code read and it was misfire on cyl 1 thru 4 and a multiple misfire code. So my afr graph was pretty rich right before it happened.. About 10.4 but still.. Also so far I couldn't get it to replicate the thing again. I had just put new spark plugs in, ngk 1 step colder. Left it pregapped as well. And yes I am running the emanage, please don't comment on me getting an aem please.

anyone see this before

Can't remember if the EMU has a fuel cut for overboost. I'd check that if it does.

What are your spark plugs gapped to? And what brand and heat range?

Mine did this all the time after a couple mins driving hard .I put it down to the wastgate not opening quickly enough,( which was ported but no cat and a 3" exhaust) spikeing and causing boost cut.You can look in my sig at the outcome.

In for explanations as well. I am also running the Greddy kit and emanage, and despite the fact that I'm tuned, I'm still running a bit rich, especially at partial throttle and idle. How rich I won't know until my wideband is installed, but rich enough to throw a p172 CEL (system too rich bank 1).

I'm wondering if others have had problems with their Greddy kits running too rich when using emanage or not. I've probably done hours worth of searching on here, but can't seem to come up with any solid data. Are you running the 550cc RC injectors that come with the kit? How rich is your wideband reading at idle and when you're cruising? Did you get the car tuned, or are you running the stock map?

If you're running too rich, you definitely can get misfires. I wouldn't think 10.4 would be rich enough to cause misfire, but then again, it could be. It certainly sounds like that was the case with you.
