Default Greddy Type S Adjustment

I have a type s on my greddy kit. I've done the single spring mod and only have the main hose connected. It's pretty much almost all the way backed out on the adjustment nut/screw. I'm getting compressor surge pretty much no matter what. Should I connect the other port to a vacuum source? It's starting to really get on my nerves.

If you were to get one, get the Greddy type RS or RZ.

get a different bov i see those things go bad all the time. i had 3 go bad on me on my old 240. they are complete junk. i tried rebuilding them the diaphragm gets wedged and holds the valve closed.

i personally love this valve. http://www.synapseengineering.com/

LOL it's not really the alternative I want. I'm just wondering if I need to connect both ports instead of just one. The diaphragm is actually in really good condition.

the bottom port is really just a breather for the other side of the diaphragm if you hook up the other side it can help push the diaphragm. Hook up a vacume t in between the compressor and waste gate acuator and hook that up to the lower part of bov. The constant pressure will keep the valve responsive. good luck hope this helped

Wait, so are you saying I should connect the other hose to help it open?

having pressure on the other side of the diaphragm will help it be more responsive, but it should be work with just the top one. you could try this set up. http://herpetology.com/dsm/bov.html

take notice to the vacume lines

Just buy a new valve, (turbosmart would be my choice since you can get it with the Greddy "type" flange)... Is $200 really worth boost leaks and/or compressor surge?
