Here's my pics of the Cwest S2000. The Fan setup in the front is what they used after runs to cool the engine down.

damn that cwest piping is nice. i was thinking about running the intake pipe the same way they did, but since i drive my car in the rain sometimes i dont know that its such a good idea.

chris do you still work for greddy? you should push them to release upgrade kit

at this point....i think its almost worth it to get an external wg so i can get more consistant boost..... i still have to see how much my porting of the wg helped...i wanna run 80mm test pipe with 80mm single exhaust

sure.....depending on what turbo you use, some don't even have internal wastegates. and if you wanted to convert your internally gated turbo, just weld the wastegate door shut, and add an external wastegate to the manifold...

This would solve my Boost Creeping issues then ha? SO what is the steps here, just weld the Wastegate on the turbo closed, the just have someone weld on an external wastegate?<-------Where do they weld on the Wastegate, do I need any mods, or is there any fitment issues? Also do I have to remove the turbo to weld the internal wastegae?

As far as sound goes, is an external wastegate louder? I heard something about this

This is rediculous how did I not know I could do this?

you'd need to get a flange cut out and welded onto your manifold, as well as get your flapper welded shut on the turbo. as for fitment issues - they are bound to pop up! the batter and the fuse box are awfully close to that setup. you need to make room for the wastegate and the dump tube that will attach to it.

oh yea, and you'll now have a useless dump into the downpipe as well...

its a bit of work, but yes it is possible. would i recommend it? ehhhh not really. we're only talking about 10psi max on this turbo before it runs out of efficiency, i don't necessarily think it's worth it IMO.

right now at the 6lbs of boost with the HFC the car pulls uptop a lot better then the 8-12lbs with oem cat.

I really hope i can get the 80mmTP to work without compromising a lot of spool time

The easiest and cheapest way to do it is to take your dump pipe off. Weld a little plate into the flange to divide the wastegate side and exhaust side. Then open the short wastegate pipe, just before it joint up the main dump pipe, and vent it to the atmosphere. Just make sure you weld something to this opening and vent the hot exhaust gas away from the car. This should open up the top end a bit.

Please make a sound recording after you do this and email it to me. I would love the hear the thing scream at 9krpm
