100's of WOT third gear pull here. No heat issues with the Ptuning kit with stock lines. Turbo sits low. The heat shield that comes with the kit is too bling though. Just personal preference...

I also have no aftermarket heat wrap on my kit. But if I did it again I would at least get a turbo blanket

I too have no extra heat protection other than the provided metal heat shield. 1.5 years and I think 15,000 miles on the kit and nothing even looks a bit toasty. Ran the car though 7 20min road course sessions too

No nessacary Ptunning use stainless pipe a flanges even the turbine housing is stainless, it won't ever rust! Ceramic coating in my experience is a waist unless as you mentioned the parts are steel.

Thanks for all of the input especially MisMyS and s2000442 for answering my e-mails and PM's

ATP is hi quality stuff and I wish I could get it, but hi quality stuff comes with very high prices and I have to set a limit as with how much I want to spend on the project (for now!!!! )

I have been looking into the PTP turbo Blankets.

http://www.ptpturboblankets.com/t4.shtml

Any reviews thoughts or input.

For the manifold I am just going to stick with the PTuning heat shield for now.

Thanks

I have the ptp blanket and it's works pretty good. After a long drive I can pop the hood and put my hand directly on the blanket and not get burned.
