Default Help CHIPPED Turbine Wheel

Took apart my used Greddy turbo and the turbine wheel has a few good chips and knicks in it. I’m not even going ask if it’s salvageable.

Looking on the bright side, since it’s a 18g compressor wheel, can I just swap in a mitsubishi td05h 20g compressor wheel cartridge? Or even a Garrett 2871, 3071 cartridge?

Remember, you will still need to get it balanced.

My understanding is that the cartridge already comes balanced? If I were to replaced a single wheel it would need the balancing right?
