Help on FI Pricing
I am looking for a bit more power on the S and am noticing that a turbo solution is much cheaper than a supercharger? Any reason for that?
I have seen some Greddy kits for about $4k but the superchargers seem alot more. What is a good price for a new SC with aftercooler?
What have you paid and where

4,800 for a vortech(satin,ap2) from superchargersforless.
Throw in the tuning costs for a turbo, and the price will be the same.

goodluck
well, ill tell you how much my stuff cost:
used vortech 3,000
couple missing parts+ fuel pump: 250
a/f gauge: $200 (i guess this is optional, but you SHOULD have it)
greddy e-manage ulti+boomslang harness: 575 (not needed, up to you if you want this, i'd say get it cause i could resell it for $400ish, and in my case im convince my engine would have been seriously hurt if i didnt have a fuel comp. to richen it up.)
spark plugs: ~$10
labor: free, did it myself. I had quite a few problems though so i dont know how people do this stuff in their garage. All work was done in a full race shop w/ every tool, extension, and resource i could have needed, still stuff kept breaking (i guess this is what you sacrafic for saving a buck buying used sc'ers).
so, those are parts i have that I personally consider neccesary to succesfully run a s/c'er. turbo, i dunno so much, havent done it, i can only guess.

Thanks for the input. I have seen some Greddy Kits "new" on Ebay for 4k but was amazed at the difference in price between those and SC. I will checkout Superchargers for less. Why did you go with the Greddy over the SC?
It seems like tubro are a bit more tuning intensive. I have been researching myself and since I am not very mech inclined a SC would a bit easier to deal with. I think price would be slightly more for the VT over the greddy but other turbo kits are more. I check these forum often and have seen more problem with the greddy kit then and SC. Most likey cause it's new and is still a bit buggy. I will wait to see and consider in the spring.
