Specs: 2004 AP2 S2000 with Emanage Ultimate & 3" NOVI1000 Comptech kit.
- OEM MAP Sensor, so to calculate boost I'm looking at the input KPA signal since output is clamped at 0psi to trick OEM ecu.
Goal: Dissect 7500-RPM point of my log. 7500rpm Live data cells are highlighted in red on the tune.
VTEC engagement setup is bottom left hand corner and a bit hidden.
A few questions:
1. Why is there two maps for fuel and ignition? KPA & TPS tuning method maybe, is that a good thing?
2. Which fuel map should I use to adjust AFR? I'm running 10.1:1 in WOT
3. Looking at input KPA my 3" Pulley yields 10psi @ 8K rpm, I don't see KPA drop... so no slip right?
- SOS states AP2 3" pulley makes 11psi so maybe I'm not off by much?
4. What are those duty cycle dips? Looks scary.
- Both the Input signal from OEM ECU and output signal from Emanage show them happen at the same time.
5. Knock looks under control? Tiny spike at 8.2K rpm you see at the bottom is 1%... whatever that means
The issue was, the piggyback limitations. I pushed it to another level with 3” pulley & 600Cc and it worked great but as you start screwing with voltages and altering parameters further to trick the OEM ECU, it got even more ugly.
I pushed it even further. I got ID1050X injectors however that resulted in an even bigger fueling hiccup at upper RPMs. I had learnt everything I could at that point meaning OEM ECU’s limitations and the inability to jive with the eManage Ultimate.
Once I went stand-alone it was solved… and that’s my update on an ancient thread.
