ouch! wonder what happened to that dyno? Pretty low for the typical stock kit and your not even stock. Is your motor tired or what?

what fuel pump are you using?
if it is a walbro 255 is it the hp

And are you sure - we have had several that said 255 - but not the hp version - big difference in gear rotors inside them

How old is your fuel pump - seen severasl only last 2 or so years especially with a fpr hooked to them.

you could also try upgrading power wire to fuel pump, voltage loss thru the factory wiring is there.

how about fuel filter? could it need to be changed - restricing flow, you would only see it at higher rpms when you are using more fuel.
Good advice I'm going to check on the fuel filter. The fuel pump is the upgraded version from comptech, I'm sure it's a 255 can anybody confirm?

s2000Junky what mods do you have? How about larger injectors and than use VAFC to cut fuel, since vafc can't add fuel right? I just don't want to throw 1500 plus tuning into a bascially stock comptech system. I'm happy with the numbers, just wanna get those A/F numbers down.

Thanks for all the inputs.....

I am using the AEM FI/C piggyback and 550cc injectors. The FI/C can retard timing and work with the larger injectors, things VAFC cannot do. It will also allow you to get rid of the aftermarket FPR, the stock 1:1 works fine with this setup. Greddy E-manage can also do this, depending on which you or your tuner prefer.

Also, once you have the injectors/EMS it's relatively cheap to buy a smaller pulley and run more boost with proper tuning.

I had no clue that there was a Walboro 255 "hp" version! I sent mine back to Vivid figuring it was defective and now they are sending me the same but different pump again

My filter had a little bit of crap floating at the bottom but it didn't make any difference when I installed without the filter all together.

Can you use a vafc to control after market bigger injectors?? I don't know allot about this, I thought only a stand alone would be compatible, but then I heard there is a piggy back that can do it effectively ...which I like better, but I am not sure about the vafc being affective in this task? If not, would the proper piggy back for larger injectors work in junction with the vafc? Seems like two different piggy backs running at the sametime would be a problem. Maybe the Vafc is no longer needed as the bigger injector piggy back can control fuel settings the same as the vafc does? I am not interested in spending $1500-$2000 to get a stand alone set up at this point in my life. Especially when there is many people running a successfully safe Comptech set up stock out of the box ....so I have heard.

Dude, Just do it the right way, and buy the EMS and injectors! It is not worth the risk that you will be taking. On a track day your engine temps are going to be higher thus you risk a better chance of knock.

I thought about going with the aem fic, did aem work out all the glitches? The piggyback is around 400 right? Plug/play? that would be sweet. Any more info.

I think most of the glitches have been taken care of with the 1912. It might be hard to find a 1912 right now, they were backordered about a month ago. I had a 1910 that I sent back to AEM to convert to a 1912. I went with the F/IC because my tuner prefers it over the emanage. It's been working well for me so far. I think it was around $375.

I bought a PnP harness from Boomslang for $200 to make the install easy and clean. I went with the harness because the shop said it would charge a couple hours of labor to wire it up without it. In the end it comes out about the same unless you can do it yourself.

yes they have it working on all years
the aem fic is around $400 but you will need a harness if you dont want to hack your factroy wires - it runs about $200.00
then it is plug and play
