Default help... turbo moving

I am running the fullrace ramhorn manifold and precision 6266.. I can take the intake pipe and move it and there is play in the center chunk of the turbo between the hot and cold side..

Any ideas why and how to fix?

are you talking about shaft play? It is ok to have a little and not really a big deal. mine has a bit and is fine. as long as there is no blade damage, or it isn't smoking the turbo is more than likely ok.

if it gets to that point you can send it out and have it rebuilt. if it's a ball bearing unit you can just buy a new one and make a cool lamp out of your old one

Are the bolts for the compressor housing/turbine housing tight?

No not shaft play.. its the center chunk the moves a little back and forth.. I noticed it when cleaning my intake pipe for a show, the hole thing moved a little back and forth.. and yes I just tightened all the turbine housing bolts..

So it's like it's not flush on the flange against the manifold?

The hot side is the turbine housing, lol. Glad you got it figured out!
