Help with VAFCII
I need help with dyno tuning my S. I currently have a comptech SC with the 7lb pulley. I'm happy with the power I have now and I don't plan on increasing boost. I just want to make sure my current setup is running safe. I was going to make any air/fuel adjustments with the VAFCII. The question I have is will it work. Some members have stated that a VAFCII will not work with the comptech SC because of the ESM. Something about the volts and going into limp mode, basically making the VAFCII useless. Is this true. Have any of you guys had success using the VAFCII with comptech. What about the AEM uego wideband gauge type. Thanks for any help, I'm really lost.

I currently have the Comptech without A/C and Tech 2 7lb pulley. I took my S to Church Automotive to tune my Vafc II, and basically he told me that the Vafc II doesn't do much. They make all the real adjustments to the Comptech Fuel Pressure Regulator for safety.

yes, it will definitely be worth getting the aem gauge type uego! it will tell u what yer actual a/f ratio is rather than a gauge that simply jumps from lean to rich. but as far as running 7psi, u shouldn't need a vafc. i'm running a 7psi pulley and simply bumped up the fuel pressure thru the fpr supplied in the comptech kit, and i put down 306 to the wheels with an avg 12.5 a/f across the board. as far as the vafc w/ the comptech esm, as long as the vafc's map sensor wiring is tapped in between the esm and your ecu, the vafc will input the esm's output voltage, and output the voltage necessary to the settings placed on the vafc.

I need to find a way to fine tune. The shop said I'm definitely running lean at various points. Is there a viable option other that the $1000+ AEM EMS, Emanage units. I don't mind spending the money if I have to, I just want to know that I have to. From what everyone is telling me, it seems like the VAFC is worthless . Will the UEGO wideband controller answer my needs? Please tell me yes.
