The new engine will for sure be at least 2.4 litres though Thanks again for the welding tips! They're greatly appreciated I switched to a #12 cup with a gas lense. I have the tungsten pretty far out while still getting adequate gas coverage.

 

Well, I've decided to go in another direction with my build (turbo LS1). All of my F series parts sold in a matter of hours! I've started on the chassis prep while we continue to search for a new house.



Started cutting the frame in the requisite places (still have a small section near the brake lines/steering shaft):



One of my line locks (running two since I have ABS)/Wiring tucked; need a grommet for the firewall:

Thanks Peter. The hope is to finish the chassis prep/wiring before the move. The LS1 is pretty much a standalone harness from the factory anyway; wiring is straightforward.

I can't believe how many builds you've gone thru! Turbo V8 is pretty extreme. Looking forward to your progress, as always!

Have you thought about supercharging it instead of turbo?
