Lots of people do. Still produces just much heat. That allows you to run more boost without getting any detonation and all.
Do some searching in the fi forum
and you will learn a lot.
Turbos give off tons of heat do to the hot exhaust gasses gong through it and turbo manifold etc.

this has always been a pet peave on mine. a Turbo kit is not less reliable on a street car.. the only time i would say less reliable is if you hpde or road race your s2k. thats the only time i have seen people overheat cars that are turbo.

otherwise, turbo cars run just as well as SC cars. i think they break more just becuase of the tq numbers you can get. our diff and tranny is weak sauce. i am SC roots style, i love my kit, but if you want a lot of power, turbo is the way to go.

sc guys break shit too. if you want bolt on and go, greddy works decent and can make 300-325 dynojet with some help and a tune. VT kit will easlity hit 350ish. roots kit with 8psi will be 350ish. kw with 9psi is 350ish.

decide if you want easy bolt on and go. also, if upgradeability is important, i would stay away from greddy and kw. CT/VT/roots kit/ and all the other turbo kits just need more boost and can flow well. roots kit hits wall by 400 SOS 1220SL blower hits about 400-425 dynojet at best.

hope that helps.

go to some local meets and look at the different setups, maybe get a ride in someones car.

I was wondering about this comment it didn't really make any sense to me, we have an R32 GT-R at home as well that after 4 years of being beat on, and I mean beat on the stock 20y old turbo finally gave up this summer. Other than that this car has had no problems. Change the oil, spark plugs regular maintenance that was it. I honestly felt bad for this car sometimes...lol

So this summer it was upgraded put about 550hp to the wheel and again not a problem. Thankfully the shop that has done all the work on the Skyline also builds S2000 so this will be where I get my work done. They have one with the same kit that I'm looking at that was installed two years ago running the full 400hp and the guy hasn't had a single problem.

I had always been up in the air about turbo or sc but I think that a turbo is the way to go since these cars are a little lacking on the torque side.

You bunch of sellout pussies! Had she been an 18 year old pimple-faced boy, you would have told her to use the search function because this has been discussed countless times before.

Welcome to S2ki.

hey Joey I thought you just got married

To the OP, if you go with an AEM CPU you can use gear-dependent boost tuning to smooth out torque delivery to the wheels.

OP you will be happy with the ultimate-racing kit. You can bolt it on and make 300 whp through stock cat and catback if that is the power you are looking for. If you get bored and want more ponies all you have to do is get it retuned and put an exhaust on it. The nice thing about this kit is that unlike the greddy kit it or superchargers on the market it can make 550 whp out of the box. No need to change manifold turbo intercooler etc etc etc. Plus UR is in your neck of the woods which imo is a huge plus. If there is a problem with the car support is only a short drive away.

Not to be rude or anything but pics of me don't really apply to this thread or to the forum and are only being requested cause I'm female. If I was a dude none of you would want pics. I'm going to be picking my car up in the spring I'll deffinetly post pics of that when I get it.

Thanks
