Default HFC options for FI

I've read this post and including other people's experiences i'm going to pass on Berk.

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/978...#entry22046612

I'm SC on low boost and can't stand the Test Pipe smell.

Will going with a 200 Cell HFC help with reliability? Your experience? (include how much track time, if any)

(my partial and full throttle is dialed in so I don't touch 10's incase it's because i'm running rich)

Personally I would go with the Berk I know several people that have been using them with a sc for a few years now and no problems. Every product will have a bad apple every now and then.

Running a Berk HFC with SOS2 high boost kit for about a year with no problems. Logged over 22k miles so far. That along with my HKS duals fetch me so many compliments that if I had to I'd do this all over again.

I put on a Berk HFC about a year ago and was surprised what a noticeable difference it made. It was most noticeable in reving quicker through the midrange. This is on a Comptech kit with 3" pulley

I'm on my 4th berk hfc. Vortech kit with 9psi. The substrate keeps coming loose inside the cat every 1-2 years. I do track my car so that may play a role in the failures. Will be swapping in my test pipe for track days from now on to see if it helps.

My tuner told me I would "melt" cats with my SC. Does Berk advertise these for FI cars?

the only issue i have had with a berk hfc is the bolts came lose and separated its self from my exhaust. i went into the actual shop (i work around the corner) and talked to the owner and he said the hfc can hold up with the FI.

also my tuner hasnt mentioned anything. i really would prefer to run a test pipe so i dont have to worry, but i hate smell!

My cat after <5000 NA miles and <600 boosted. It's a berk stock diameter.
