Hey Chad, Mase is one of the few tuners that I have seen pull what was once impossible numbers with a stock headgasket. Even though there are people that have success with the 3mm hg, I have read threads with people having gasket issues due to it and that leaves suspicion. The only issue I've read with the stock hg was people blowing their engine If it was any other tuner I would have suggested the 3mm, but since Mase is tuning our cars I would leave it as is.
A local tuner did mine. @ 11psi GT3076R .82 I made 402whp/ 260ft/lb. Thats on a dynojet. Stock HG, and I have run as much as 14psi on pumpgas. Really and truthfully the 3mm HG's are junk and a stock one is SO MUCH BETTER. Thats my opinion but I have run stock HG for 10k boosted miles now...and my car is still running perfectly.

Run the stock one.
What i dont get, is why theres this HUGE gap in knowledge and decision here on s2ki.
what happened to the 1mm and 2mm options.
you have this HUGE divide. and its creating fights.
well, stock.... or 3mm.
WTF?
why so thick. calm down people.

Your setup and mase on the keys, stock headgasket. Id put money on it mase can make close to or just over 400 whp on 12 psi. with 30/76.
we made 400 whp with jacks car on 8.8 psi (baby rotrex), and mikey made 475 whp on 12 psi with a 35r.

Stock HG setups like those you talked about and mine all make 400+ on pumpgas. Nothing wrong with that, and the last thing I worry about is my HG taking a crap on me. Its stock, honda did it right from the factory.

If mase is going to tune your car ask him what's his view on this. If the tuner feels better doing it one way it's the way to go.

P.s. I have spoken with him about this serveral times and Iam sure his going to say leave the stock one on. You want more power get better fuel or build a more capible setup, don't put a bandaid on the problem.

lower compression pistons > aftermarket headgasket. I'll just leave it at that.

Why don't you call Mase, himself to find out, since he's the best tunners out there. He'll suggest what you needs to do, rather here have a huge discussion about it. GL.
