Hi all
If you have the tools, that's a pretty easy diy job with the helms manual and you get to keep quite a bit of $$ in your pocket. It'll also be a good opportunity to replace your clutch. If you were local, I could help.
N1000 supercharger is just a little small and you will rarely see these superchargers put out anything higher than 390-400. Vortech is pretty much the same, except you can upgrade the impeller to flow like a bigger N1200 or even an N1500 supercharger. SOS has the 1220, which is actually just a newer version of the N1000, same size, same power levels that are achievable, N1000 is best if you plan on making mid 300s.
If you want 400-450, go with the Stage 2 Science of Speed supercharger, it comes with the N1200 and it can make 400 easily, some guys are making near 500 on this blower so theres definitely room to grow, and dont get the self-lubed set up, these are notorious for causing problems. These run ~$4500 brand new, but some times pop up for sale around here for about 3500. The other kits (CT/VT) typically sell for 2k-4k on this site depending on condition.
If your s2k is 06+ you should go flashpro, hands down, I would doubt ANYONE would argue otherwise. If 00-05, go with AEM 1052 or v2, Haltech 1000 or Kpro ($$$) if emissions are a problem in your state, Kpro is the only option that retains OBD functions (minus flashpro for the 06+ guys)
Injectors: go with atleast 900/1000cc (Injector Dynamics are the favorite around here), Fuel pump (walbro 255 might suffice, aeromotive 340 and Full blown 340 are great choices, just a bit more expensive)
Clutch, OEM disk with ACT HD Pressure Plate will hold up to about 300wtq no problem, so should be fine for a 400whp supercharged set up, it also drives like stock.
SOS / Hondata Map sensor 3bar/4bar, either will work, need this if you plan on boosting over 10psi.
And I personally wouldn't even consider running something like this without at minimum a wideband, boost gauge and an oil pressure gauge. Just having this information can make a world of difference when diagnosing potential problems.

I started with the Novi 1000 and then upgraded to the 1200, I also started with the aem v1 and upgraded to the v2. The 1200 will make your goals with no issues, and the novi 1000 is no longer in production by paxton and is not even rebuilt by them, however you can find several places that will do the work. But why go back in time when you can get the latest. As far as the ems goes, really no big difference for you as the user, other than you get your coolant light to work again, but the big difference is for the tuner...I like to keep mine as happy as possible. Good luck in your quest.
By the way, how did Dad manage to put a hole in the block?

I started with upgrading the Clutch. Then went to SOS for a complete kit, 1200 4.0" pully, upgraded heat exchange, and 900cc FIC injectors. You should have the OE engine running and dyno and leak down test before going SC. Nothing worse than new system and discovering other engine prob and couple test confirm true condition of a used block and head
