Hi all
Hi guys im new to this forum and wanted some pros to chime in on some of the questions I have.
My younger brother acquired a 00 s2k from my pops who some how put a big hold in the block.
Current mods are koni yellows with ground control coilovers and driveshaft shop 5.9 differential. We found a motor at a local shop for $2, 500. We should have around around $4, 500 left for supercharger the first month . My question is would that be enough for a good supercharger? In no rush and wont be taking any short cuts. looking for around 400whp . Can someone please list me parts I will be needing like injectors/ems....ect. thanks in advance =]

$4500 is going to be tight.
Lets say you get lucky and find a complete kit for $2500. Then there's ~$1k+ for EMS, $300-400 for injectors, ~$100-$150 for fuel pump, ~$100 for map sensor and then $500+ for dyno tune. Assuming that there wont be ANY other issues and the kit you pick up is 100% complete (which rarely happens, especially at that low price), that might be BARELY enough, but at 400, you would need clutch since stock wont hold.
I am not saying it wont be possible, but that budget doesn't give you any room for errors/issues that may come up and even if everything works out, IMO is not going to be enough. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. The $4, 500 is for the supercharger only. Ems/injectors/tune/clutch....ect will be on a different budget. I just need a list of what I need to I can add everthing up. Can someone please point in in the right direction as in what brand supercharger.

If CARB isn't an issue for you, I'd think its best to go with SOS. I think you will be fine with any of the kits (SOS, Comptech, or Vortech) as long as you don't get NOVI1000 with a comptech (which will make it hard to hit 400).
You would need:
EMS (KPRO, AEM, Flashpro(06+) or Haltech)
Injectors (prob would wanna get 1000cc)
Fuel pump (I've used fb340 with good results)
Map sensor (I've used SOS)
Clutch (Most stage 2 should be good enough for your goal)
Tune.. depends on where you are located

Thanks again for the fast response I wilk go with the 1000cc injectors and aem along with the vortech. Would vortech be the best place to buy the kit?

Pick your year and scroll all the way down. You will see the prices!

Or in your case, you would probably want stage 2.. and I am assuming you have 00-05 since you want to use AEM:
