Default high pitched whining noise

I can't figure out what it is but it's freaking me out a bit. Here it's doing it at a cold start. The top gauge is rpm and the lower is AFR. I'm sorry for the camera moving around so much, but it's an Iphone. It is topped off with oil. It does it once it's warmed up also, at the lower RPM's from what I can tell. Any help is appreciated...

For trouble shooting a problem like this, you want to remove your sc belt to confirm that its coming from this, if the sound goes away then the likely problem lies in either the idler pulley bearing or the blower bearings. Make sure there is nothing interfering with he blower belt/rubbing as well. If you remove the sc belt and you still hear this sound then you know to look elsewhere.

Ok, sounds good. I was going to tighten it anyway. Now, I'll just remove it. The blower bearings should be good, I had it rebuilt by Vortech about 1200 miles ago.

Pulling the belt is a major project. You can loosen it and check the rotating parts by hand.

An alternate way would be to get a listening device like a stetho-scope to isolate the location of the noise.

It's really loud when you are standing in front of the car with the hood up. That's what lead me to the blower. I think a stethoscope would hurt my ears. I think I'll go ahead and loosen it up to check this weekend.

I forgot that you VT guys have to go through a lot to remove your belt, its 2 min on the comptech kit. If you have a way to cheat and accomplish the same thing as sideways mentioned, then there you go
