Question.. what stands out from stand alones like K-pro and AEM compare to Greddy EMU? all of the above can adjust fuel and timing right? Pretty sure EMU cant control boost like the standalones can but what else? is there data logging in the emu?

If the Greddy FMU is a piggy-back type device like I think it is, there is a big difference between a piggy-back device and a EMS. Aside from all of the extra "types" of tuning you can do with an EMS, a piggy-back device alters the tuning variables AFTER the ECU, and it is ALWAYS preferable to alter the tuning variables at the ECU (EMS).

The AEM EMS can control boost by gear, but not by RPM as well.
And 1 out of 10 AEM EMS systems fail right out of the box. Ask Ya @ Inline. I prefer to block that month out of my memory.

So when you get a Kpro, do you also get access to their software if you need to make an adjustment away from the tuner?

I like K-pro but this reason alone is why I am sold on the AEM.

Anybody can download the K-Pro software for free. And once you've downloaded the software and pull-up K-Pro it will automatically check to see if you have the latest software.
