My EMS starts like stock, but there's a trick. you have to turn the key and wait about 3 seconds so the pump primes up. then starts like stock.

I like the Idea of Kpro. but to be wasn't worth all the extra money, parts and time. But it is a great option.

My AEM EMS shows Water temps

My AEM EMS was only 1000.00

My AEM EMS can use real time tuning.

Not 2000.

Its all in the tune.

no one has said that any other managment is a waste of money, this is purely an education thread about hondatas engine managment for those that care to participate. I don't think we need people chiming in about how their engine managment choice is working for them.

True, I was just "education" them that the EMS doesn't always have the start issue. "Internet rumor turns into fact" (Luke Rampart)

I understand. I just don't want this to be a kpro is awesome and AEM suck thread where a bunch of AEM owners start defending their choice. Either way, IMO you chose stand alone, so good choice for both.

But just for eduction you stated: It starts like stock, but...

Just giving my input. Like I said, Kpro is nice, was an option, but not worth all the extra, time, money and labor (to me at least) If Kpro was plug & play I would have gotten it (more than likely).

Good information. Glad it all worked out for you. I wish they made something that would work for DBW

Yeah, I think hondata is trying to figure it out. The best they have so far is a way to reprogram the ecu through the OBD-II port. This is what kraftwerks is using for the Highboost kit. What would be nice is if they made software and then an OBD-II to usb and allowed people to tune the 06+ through that method.

To all:
Read the last paragraph of the write-up. Put all the butt hurt aside! We all prefer different things. You are right tuning has alot to do with startup. I myself have tried 2 other engine managements and was not satisfied. Honestly this thread wasnt to flame greddy or aem. Thanks for the compliment chairmanoftheboard. justinc thanks for adding real effective information, and not just GOING ALL CAP LOCKS AND SAYING WE ALL SUCK HAHHAHAHA.

I will be running Hondata!

I lucked out and found some one that had already purchased the OEM parts and wanted out of them for $250. Found the ECU on eBay for lower than what Hondata charges for it. I will admit that I have some help on the price of Kpro (my car is a partially sponsored shop car) so I am coming in for a little lower than the price of a new AEM unit!

It is good to see a productive Hondata thread here since most of them have turned into pissing matches between it and AEM, with AEM winning due to its larger market penetration.
