You talking about a fully build engine with the 9K redline right? cause a stock engine won't handle that kinda of boost right? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question
This thread is about maximizing. The engine must be modified to handle these boost levels. This thread is for those with built bottom ends and possibly thick heads.

It's ok to go a hundred or two hundred rpms beyond for a millisecond. Five or eight hundred beyond is not something you want to do. The 3.8 pulley should work out fine. I'm waiting for a 4.15 pulley to go with the a 9600 redline.
At 4.15 how much boost are you running on your setup

What happen to your OEM short block? did it finally give out or are you just upgrading?

I'm hoping the dyno confirms:

That's 19.57 psi for those of us challenged and almost 20 psi for those of us enlightened.

That is just a pipe dream until I get the pulley and then it may be more like:

21.75 psi.

The gauge correction factor was 0.8 at that time so 21.75 psi was really 17.4 psi.

My original block met a broken piston ring.
