To this point I have left the intake runners basically stock, cleaned up some seams and opened up the TB ports.

Light weight pulleys are a bonus and allow the engine to rev a little quicker. Light weight pulleys, lightened clutch/flywheel and lighter wheels allow the car to be more responsive.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda, oops, there gone. There are many items that had limited production runs. With enough interest Rick's or others may bring them back.

I don't know of any source of light weight pulleys currently. Avoid the light weight crank pulley that is sans dampener.

Unorthodox Racing has Pulleys for our cars!

I Might give them a try!

Phil,

I'd like to add Nitrous to my existing 9-psi Vortech setup (making 329whp on a conservative tune).

I'm running EMS/550cc/walbro and have an expert tuner. I'm still waiting on his advice, but one thing I was curious about is how many extra whp are we talking that can safely be added to an otherwise stock motor. Also, which nitrous kit do you use/recommend?

Basically, I want something that's the equivalent of an Afterburner for the very rare street encounter (some of the guys here at the airbase have GTO's and Vettes). So far, nothing has taken me on a 60 roll, but I'm looking for outright dominance - which tends to end the encounter very quickly (and therefore is less likely to attract unwelcome attention).

Plus, I've always wanted a big red button to push after I tell the passenger: "Watch this shit".

Ok Phil, et all...

How about taking this to the next level and really making it a blueprint...

1)Exhaust - What size is right for a 400+ hp Vortech supercharger?
2_Headers - Have any of them been PROVEN to make substantial HP (more than 10) with a Vortech kit?
3)Coils - I saw some posts with the OKADA coils tests being done at Church's place. Seemed like they were making power?
4)AP2 or AP1 cams - Does switching to an AP1 cam on the intake help 2.2L and vise versa?
5)Cam Gears?
6) Headwork?

I was at the dyno this morning with the Tracy Sports exhaust and the plugged cat repaired.

Running the 3.9 inch pulley the intake temps rose 10 degrees f. from 5000 rpm to 9500 rpm. That is virtually nothing.

The dyno showed 276 ft lbs torque and 480+ rwhp. One run saw 282 torque.

Time to try the 3.8 inch pulley and see how the boost, hp/tq, and intake temperatures compare.
