Well if your on a budget get a supercharger. But once you go over to the turbo side and get a kit gauges, exhaust, EMS, Injectors it really starts to add up. You could piece on together kit but your really need to know how.

Im gonna try to do all the install work myself, or at least as much as i can. Thanks for the input. My goal is around 400-450hp. I plan on trying to keep it a daily driver.

How much would you guys say it would take bare minimum to have the car driving?
Better make sure you know what you are getting before you buy a kit or you will be in for a suprise.

i have buit many turbo s2000 cars, $8000-$9000 is a good budget on a stock motor, inlinepro kit (modified) 500 whp. if my customers would just let me do what i know this budget is doable, but they all have an different idea, they read off some website or there friend told them this or that, so do it there way first, and then my way, there goes the budget, and i justlove customer supplied parts, there wrong size, broken, or crap i wont put on knowing they will fail, more budget gone.
my turbo suggestion for 500hp:
Inline prokit with gt35r vband downpipe. (have to mod down pipe)
have manifold thermal coated
weld 90 on turbo, cut mod charge pipe
wastegate spring .9 bar
inlinepro 3 mil head gasket - arp head studs
omni 3 bar map sensor
walbro fuel pump (upgrade power wire with 8 guage)
880 injectors (maybe new bosch 1000)
AEM 1052U
2 serial guages (programmed correctly, boost, AF, Air intake temps, water temp, oil pressure, and what else the aem sees factory sensors)
oil pressure sending unit
modify/weld oil pan for drain
boost solinoid, controled thru aem with hi/low switch
like to use all braided stainless lines - even on vac/boost turbo & wastegate.
there a few other small things
i also like to move air filter to some clean cooler air.
