Default Hump Hose Couplers

I'm looking to replace all the couplers in my kit with higher grade ones and t-bolts. I noticed the shop I use has hump hose couplers and was wondering if the would help decouple my engines movement from the intercooler better. What I mean is, if I replace my compressor outlet coupler, and my TB inlet coupler, will the Hump houses allow for some side to side shearing movement, or are they strictly for changing angles. Thanks.
