The double back on that exhaust with that tight U-turn for the tips doesn't reduce air flow or add restriction? I've always heard the best exhaust was the straightest one.
I believe the point was to get it through the muffler (very small and light) twice to get the volume down as much as possible while only slightly affecting the flow.

Looks nice Brian. I agree on the tips being a little to long for my liking but the overall quality looks excellent. I think any free flowing exhaust will drone on this car a little n/a or supercharged. The only exhaust I tried that was not droning was the invidia q300 but I did not like the way that exhaust fit on an ap1 bumper.
The current Asura was loud and droning at 3-4k rpm but with a hi flow cat and turbo it is very quiet now. I will buy that meter and record how it is now. I drove in Scotts car "dsddcd" and he has the same kit as me. His exhaust has the smaller resonator mid pipe but with a test pipe and it was not bad at all. Mine was definetely quiter though. The 3 inch hi flow cat really does wonders to muffle sound. The ptuning exhaust looks great but it really does not tell the whole story unless they stick it on a n/a or supercharged car.

PLEASE...let us know when you have measured it with the meter....I wish my meter were here already!
Thanks, Brian
Ok...I got some sound numbers tonight with this meter: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=390-722
In-car windows rolled up/down did not seem to matter. Microphone was anywhere from just next to my head (right ear) to just above the center console just behind the shifter (again, did not seem to mater much where I put it) Meter was set to "MAX HOLD" with the wind screen installed.
Using anywhere from half to full throttle from 2500 - 4500 rpm only, achieved a consistent 99db - 101db max level. It would seem that a comfortable maximum IN-CAR level would be around the 88db - 91db or so level (just my opinion).
I also had the car on a back road and got out and placed the meter about 10 - 12 feet behind the car on the ground centered between the tips with the mic facing the car...the result was similar at 101db - 102db.
Although this is NOT the most scientific method, I just wanted to get some rough measurements.
I have a short video and I will be trying to get it up here very soon if I can. I have NO experience with this as of yet.
More to come...
Thank you, Brian

Oh...I almost forgot...just for reference I did the same IN-CAR test using my 2007 Si that has an Injen CAI, Hytech 4-2-1 long tube header and a Tanabe Touring Medallion exhaust (60mm piping) and I got NO higher than 87.5db no matter what I did under 4500rpm.
