Intercooler is a Precision 600, I don't think that's the issue. I'm leaning towards Elroy's suggestion of the intake location. I've already melted a filter where it is right now.

Plan on venting the hood either this week or next among a few other upgrades.
Filter relocation closer to stock or near the fender and then duct it from the grill, a snorkel would work or a simple flat plastic bread cutting board is what I used, shape it up so its not ghetto looking, works like a charm. Water injection would fix your problem instantly, likely by 75 degrees or better depending on how much you spray. If you don’t like injection with your kit for some funny reason you might consider doing the coolant block off to intake manifold trick if you haven’t done so already, this is a no brainer for your climate. Collectively all of these things would be the best solution and you will make more power overal with less strain on your internals of course.

Stock location is out of the question, there's a turbo there lol

Not a fan of water/meth injection. Just more shit to go wrong IMO

Intake coolant is blocked off and rerouted. Also have Hondata IMG

The only cool air source I have is the driver side fender hole. Dunno how difficult getting some piping down in there will be. I'll see about it when the car goes back to a local shop soon.

a lot of smack talking in here...I LOVE IT.

my aftercooler was heat soaked at the local drag strip on a hot night and I saw 160 degrees on my aem serial. I blame it from no fan on the heat exchanger.

Either way, I agree with other posts, a vented hood, and relocating the air filter will help.

god i would love to vent my hood. but i dont have the balls to cut my hood.

anywho, wihtr your problem, its not really a problem. remember its hot in florida, so your starting with hotter air to begin with. i bet on a 3-5 pull your iats are near amibient, and its only that deep 6th long pull that is really heating things up.

and honestly, 140 is no big deal at all. do a log of 3-5 pull and look at what the iats do. your on a 5857 turbo right? that thing can flow your power, and the intercooler can handle the power, so its just the situation your putting the car in. top speed run sustained 160 mph pull will heat stuff up.

the decrease in air temperature by running an intake to a 'cool' location does not outweigh the loss by running a long intake assembly.
