That is about what I'm seeing now Robbie. When I was making ~680ish, it would drop a good 10-20* on a pull.

Thanks man. I was looking at K&N also and they have different cone type sizes that run about $45 but I don't know how good they are for turbo applications. How do they compare to the AFE's?

Sorry for the thread jack. Its all I want to know.

the decrease in air temperature by running an intake to a 'cool' location does not outweigh the loss by running a long intake assembly.
When i first did the intake into the fender, i did a comparison at the track. I did two runs with an air filter off a 45 degree pipe connected to the compressor, and then 3 runs with my fender intake. I increased my trap speed by 3-4mph average with only the intake as the change on my setup. Let me see if i can dig up the logs i did as well.

oh snap, that that i think of it, i originally wanted a aem dry filter, but they didnt have my size, so i went with AFE since they had the size i wanted. it was fine for me, but i was NA. not really sure if it would be good or bad for you.

i had wanted the dry aem filter since its so much easier to care for.

I disagree in the absoluteness of your statement. I would say, 'it depends'. Also, you don't have to put the filter in a location that gets cool air. You can build an airbox/shield around the filter and duct cool air to it.
