[QUOTE=boostedf22c,Oct 26 2009, 05:34 PM] Some of us can get up to 160 a lot faster than others too.

D*mnit Carey! I can't see that on my blackberry, its too small. Lol Can you explain where it is? Is it a cold air intake or pretty much like mine is. I just ordered my 6262 turbo and was going to leave the filter like my old turbo was. Do you think it'll be ok or should I run a pipe to somewhere?

And for comparisons sake...

Your filter is 6-8 inches away from your turbo, mine is directly connected. Your hood is also vented.

Hell now that I look at my engine bay, I don't really have a lot of options for an extended filter setup like you have...

I agree, but with my setup I'm pulling in ambient air that's been heated by the directly connected turbo. I've actually got it setup slightly different than that I posted...I extended the filter with a rubber coupling towards the charge piping (maybe 3.5 inches). Dunno if its helping or not.

I use a stock IAT sensor, in the stock location, and my IAT's go down during a pull, and I'm pushing my car VERY HARD!!!!!
...but keep in mind your meth/water injection is probly going to increase the temp drop during a pull.

O yeah, definitely, I was just trying to say that having a IAT sensor skyrocket in temps during a pull is telling you something. If I saw that on a datalog I would start trouble shooting. But that's just me.

That said, even when I didn't run meth/injection I always saw a decrease in temp throughout a pull, in all of my different boosted setups through out the years. Unless something was wrong.

Ok so I looked at a log and here's what I got. This is a 12.05 @ 122 pass and it was around 75-80 degrees out that day (I think).

-Staging 136 degrees
-1st gear 125 degrees
-2nd gear 125 degrees
-3rd gear 122 degrees
-4th gear 122 degrees
-5th gear 124 degrees

Hope that helps the topic a little...
