Default ID1700s Maxed Out?

Just want to check with some of you others and see if this sounds about right. My car was just retuned yesterday for the new Inline Pro short block and the tuner says my injectors are the limiting factor at this point. I can take a data log and share it if needed.

Engine is an Inline Pro 10:1 F24, head has BC cams and Ferrea valve train, PTuning turbo kit with the gen 2 GTX3576, TI Automotive brushless fuel pump with the Holley controller, -8an fuel feed from the pump assembly to the rail, ID1700 injectors, E85 fuel, AEM Infinity ECU.

Boost is set to 25-26psi and he said the injectors are almost maxed out. He left the fuel pressure alone and didn't adjust it at all. I'll double check but I think its 44psi with the hose disconnected, and its 39psi with the hose connected. On their Mustang Dyno this setup made 612whp and 455 ft/lb torque. I kind of thought there was more power to be had, but maybe if they would have increased base fuel pressure it would make more? I don't know how to read a turbo compressor map but was also under the impression that this turbo would be good for more boost too.

If the injectors are indeed maxed out, what is the next step for more power? Injector Dynamics makes 2600cc injectors, but how bad will idle quality suffer from those?

I would think 1700cc injectors would be good for at least 750whp on e85. granted your on a low reading mustang dyno. Why dont you try turning up the base fuel pressure to 50-55psi.

You can step up to ID2200cc which will idle better than the 2600’s. If you ever plan on running 93oct then the 2600’s are not recommended.

Consider increasing fuel pressure. Your fuel pump flow rate will drop off, but your injector flow rate will increase. If you have enough fuel pump and fuel pump wiring, that's a good way to go. At 75 psi fuel pressure difference, the injectors will flow ~30% more. This would mean 100 psig fuel system pressure under full boost.

Post a log off your infinity. 1700s are a badass injector. 612hp could be made with id1300s. either your fuel pressure is off or they went soft as hell on your IG timing

Like everyone else has said, you might need to up your FP, also how are you idling what is the drivability like on the 1700s? I have heard people say it's very poor, but I also have heard it depends on your tuner.

I run id1700's in my Turbo Integra . My base pressure is only 38 psi and i just max them out at 782whp . I do have two Bosch 044 pumps though . This is tuned on Infinity . Pump gas is rather crappy to drive on with them though and i had it tuned by one of the best tuners around Jeff Evans .

ID doesn't show any injectors between the 1700 and 2600 on their website though.

I'm thinking I'll try turning up base fuel pressure and see if they will make more power. I'd sure hope the TI Automotive brushless fuel pump will support a lot more flow. The fuel pump wiring is all upgraded with a relay and larger wire.
