I've often wondered how much more you could get out of the motor by tuning each cylinder individually. I know AEM EMS offer individual cylinder fuel trim, but that's just a fixed offset. The ideal cylinder offset may vary with rpm, load, etc. You might need separate air/fuel and timing maps for each cylinder to do any good. I guess that means 4 EMS's. Plus separate MAP, IAT, TPS, and wideband O2 sensors for each cylinder. And maybe even separate EGT thermocouples to be safe. I can see a 24 channel data logging setup. And years on the dyno. Man, it's getting pretty involved.
