Default Inline pro stage 1 turbo Intake question

Just wondering if it would be beneficial to run a pipe away from the engine and behind the radiator similar to our stock intake systems. The way the system comes from factory, the intake is close to the engine but low to the ground so I imagine it can be beneficial once the car is moving collecting colder air compared to behind the radiator but just wanted to make sure.

If anyone has any input please let me know.

Added the link to compare setups and if it really makes a difference. The final option is just running a filter off the turbo itself.

Which do you think would be best in collecting the coldest air?

Thanks

It's ideal to keep the intake/filter in a location where it will collect the coolest air.

I'll be using the same manifold this coming week and I plan on running the intake/filter somewhere under front bumper if possible.

I tried this method once but I had to cut up the fender liner for it to fit. Unless you use a really small filter, you will have some issues since the stock intercooler piping on the inline pro kit is pretty much in the way.

I had the problem of both the dump tube and intake pipe being too short and the exhaust from the dump being re-circulktaed into the intake robbing me of just over 100 HP! I called inline pro and had them make me a custom dump tuibe and intake pipe. The dunmptube exits out the bottom of the car completely ans the intake pipe is right in between the blow off valve and oil filter. If you text me ill send you a picture of my setup. A little pricey to have them both made but very worth it.

i tried pm'ing you but it wont go through. PM me your #.

Thanks Hondaguys2k, Just emailed you.

Regarding the piping, Im using 3" piping from an intercooler piping set i purchased on ebay. I then used my dremmel to make the cuts.

My dumptube recirculates into the downpipe but I'm still going to work on running a pipe to get fresh air to the turbo.

Yesterday I had a hard time installing the Inline Pro manifold with my Precision turbo. Seems like it's slightly bigger than the turbo the manifold was designed for. I had to hack the area near the turbo housing to get enough clearance. Such a headache!
