Default Inline stage 1 help

Inline pro stage 1 setup... I was told no gasket is used between the wast gate and manifold... Also no gasket between the turbo and downpipe? Is this true?

Not true.. Run a gasket on both.

Its not a V-band. it should be a 38mm WG with 2 bolts that hold it down. And the turbo should have 4 bolts. Only time you would use a gasket is if it was a V-band.

The wastegate should at least have the fire ring installed. I would also suggest installing a gasket between the turbo and the manifold. I have a T3 gasket you can have (I went with a T4 turbo so I don't need this one). PM me your address and I'll mail it to you.

If its a 5 bolt downpipe flange then you don't need a gasket.

How many bolt holes on your T3 gasket... The gate does have the fire ring...

Killer_B is right. i also have a 5 bolt flange and not using a gasket and have no problems with exhaust leaks. the only problem i have is the bolts from the flange falling out from the vibration. you should use some Nord Locks. it will help a lot. or you can convert it to a v-band by welding a v-band adapter to your turbo 5 bolt flange and also for the down pipe. my friend who is a fabricator/welder has done lots of it and is going to do it for me. i'll let you know how it turns out when i get it done

They are correct if both the wastegate flange, and downpipe have been machine flat. We do not run a gasket on our tC turbo kit as all of our manifolds are machined flat.
