InlinePRO Intake Manifold

he has no patents so he has no justification to post about it
Patents were put in place to protect peoples inventions and intellectual property. But just because they are in place doesn't give carte blanch for everyone to copy any designs or ideas that are not patented. And then to lie about the designs origin. That's just despicable.
You're right that legally Hypertune doesn't have a leg to stand on, but morally, and in the court of popular opinion, his case is clear. And in this community that's what really matters.

I gotta say that this line really irks me.

but this whole situation could a been taken car of with a lot more tact.
A few changes here and there and someone say's it's not similar,I call that
. GReddy and others had similar designs way before, just look at the over all shape. You can bicker about a few bolt holes and the angle of this and that but it's still similar.BTW I am not an IP fanboy nor have I ever bought any of their products, just calling it how I see it.

I'm just going to suggest you two take a closer look at the pics.
Also, check out the opinion of some of your more experienced peers.
If that fails, find a knowledgeable independent third party and ask their opinion.

Why are people trying to compare the Greddy manifold still?!?
It looks nothing like the manifolds in question. Have you guys not seen the pictures? The Supra greddy manifold is and elongated oval plenum! There are no runners and no manifold flange. The Supra Hypertune manifold is a complete different design.
I especially like that someone stated, "there isnt much room in the s2k's engine compartment" as another excuse for the "similar" design... Ummm... Have you guys forgotten the boys over at AFI? They have put together a beautiful intake manifold for there timeattack car that looks nothing like the manifolds in question. If afi could do it why couldnt inline? What about the Mythical magnus manifold? Yep yep completly different approach in design as well.
If the few people still putting up arguments cannot see that it is a direct copy of the hypertune manifold then idk what...
Shame Shame on you Inline pros un-named "independent third party"
For the record i am not an Inline pro "hater" in fact quite the opposite. I frequently have wet dreams about there new sidewinder manifold im sorry to say. There fully built shortblocks have frequently been the subject of my daytime phantasy's
Also my birthday is next month so um feel free to send to that manifold and downpipe that haunts my dreams.

Guess Im a theif too..
I know for a fact IP made this before me, but i see what they did and made my own and call it my own..
Hypertune, i see that your design is similar, but look at every turbo manifold on the market for any b or K series and most F, they are all the same or similar.
You dont see Peakboost saying, topmount turbo manifold based on PFabs topmount design, even though its almost exactly the same and Pfab has had his out for years.. Its a similar design, so what, somewhere, someone has already made it, how do we not know you got it from someone else..
Just give it up dude.
You guys might be getting a bit silly. What you've 'designed' can be described as a 'diagonal plate with two holes'. I'm not sure a textual description of an intake manifold would be so brief.
But if you think it's as easy as designing a block off plate we all await your designs. Inline Pro obviously didn't think it was that easy. That's why they "allegedly" purchased the design from some as yet unnamed third party design company.
