Post Install - Science of Speed TS-MAX Twin Scroll Turbo

Hello everyone, I currently have a couple tasks at hand and I figured I would share my experience here and get tips along the way.
As the title says, I will be installing the Science of Speed TS-MAX Twin Scroll Turbo kit. Part of that process will to remove the self installed Kraftwerks supercharger kit.

Here is a video of the Kraftwerks kit that will be removed, and will be for sale.
Here is the SOS kit, patiently waiting to be installed.
Attached is the SOS installation manual, if anyone would like to see what the installation process will be like.

Let me know how you like the kit bro. These guys are the best in the industry for installs and final touches / good point of reference.

I'm interested in seeing the progress, I recently drove a S2K with this kit and I was impressed. The guy had it for sale and left it on for buyers to test drive before selling, my buddy recently just bought it and is getting it installed.

I want this kit now once I save up funds! but their kit had the upgraded GT3582R

That LHT TLC is a huge asset, I follow the channel, and have had conversations with John on a facebook group we are members of. Thanks for looking out!

That is the same turbo I purchased with the kit! Glad to hear positive things about it.

Turned some wrenches last night to remove the Kraftwerks kit.
Next step is to make it stock to pass NYS Inspection... huge annual headache when running a standalone 364 days a year.

Here are some pictures..

Awesome best of luck. Not many successfully documented twinscroll turbo s2k's running out there. Atleast not enough!

Is the kit LHT installed an SOS turbo kit? Definitely don't see too many of them floating around. I'd be plenty happy with a nice fat powerband and 350-400whp.

It is an SOS kit, but in the video, John referred to it as an SOS Street Performance kit. I'm not sure if it is the same has the TS-MAX kit.

Default Turbocharger preparation

Today I got around to prepping the turbo, pretty much straight forward from the SOS manual.

However, the manual did not specify a torque spec for the water banjo bolts. I did some quick research, and found that 29-34ft-lbs will do. I torqued them to 32ft-lbs.
As I torque the fasteners, I mark them in yellow marker to follow the theme Honda marked their fasteners from the factory, you'll notice in the pictures.

One thing that is different with the kit, than what is the manual is the clamps used on the water hoses. SOS shows a flush fitting clamp in the manual (see bottom two pictures below), and in the kit they provided worm clamps.
The problem with the worm clamps, is they do not allow the heat resistant sleeve to push all the way up to the banjo bolt (also see third picture from the bottom). I feel that may be an issue, since it will leave about an inch of hose exposed to the hottest part of the turbo.

Here are some pictures..

I'm not liking the worm clamp used on the water lines. It doesn't allow for the heat wrap to protect the water line where it would be the hottest area. I would prefer a spring clamp.

Below are pictures from the installation manual. SOS used a different clamp. Expectations below vs Reality above.

Build looking mint so far! What's the plan for dump tubes, or is it going to be routed internally?
