Default Installed ACT clutch/Comptech flywheel

ive done my share of research for this ACT heavy duty pp, OEM throwout bearing, OEM clutch disk and Comptech flywheel combo. finally decided to go with it. the sales rep (from one of the local shop in charlotte, CPRace or cprace.com if you are around Charlotte NC and you are interested in SC'ing your s2000 or any performance upgrades) told me he helped quite a few of s2000 owners with the same setup before me.

if you want to save time and headaches from reading hours and hours, go with this set up and stop punishing your eyes. j/k i wouldn't listen to myself since i myself like to make my own decisions.

still breaking in my new clutch. but so far, ive noticed that the pedal is MUCH stiffer than stock. ive driven a couple of other s2000's so i can say that my clutch felt a little on the lighter side compare to other s2000s. but that doesn't matter, the ACT pp gives the clutch a nice heavy/sporty feel that i crave for. on to the engagement report...it grabs earlier now. near middle. solid feel. solid.

flywheel? no it's not hard to drive with the flywheel/grabby new clutch. no i dont have to rev a little. sometimes i even (by accident) let out the clutch a little too far with no throttle input and the car pushes forward. compensate with gas and i coast away easily. second nature NOBODY should have problems unless they are new to manual trans. i was worried about the daily drivability before because so many people was saying (on here) that you'd have to rev the car a little to start off in traffic, or people stalling the first few drives (because of the lightened flywheel and grabbier clutch). i disagree.

now is the flywheel worth it? i would say yes. would i just go and throw in the flywheel alone? no. not much of a difference that's worth the price of the flywheel and labor cost. i mainly did it because this will probably be the only car that i have a chance to mod this way. one life to live right? go get that fw

Around how many WHP do you guys think this set up is good for? Once I get my motor built this summer I hope to make around 350+whp (400 tops), do you think that this set up will support that or should I go for something else? I'm not looking to dump the clutch or bring it to the drag strip. I just want something that won't slip everytime I shift. Thanks

I'm pushing over 400 hp with no slipping. This is probably the best and most often used combination.

I wish I could say the same about my clutch. I just put a Stage 3 Ceramic Exedy Hyper Single. Came with a lighter flywheel bla bla bla and I absolutely hate it. Im almost tempted to take it out and go buy an OEM one again

Would there be any noticeable/practical difference using a spoon flywheel instead of comptech?

The reason I ask is that I have a spoon flywheel sitting in my living room as it came with the car when I bought it. I'll be doing the clutch soon too, probably the same setup.

Although I am curious about Clutch Masters...I had their stage III carbon kevlar on my Prelude and loved it. Anybody out there running a clutch masters stage III?
