quick question, so w the full supertech upgrades in the head, it's "safe" to spin to 11k? is that a lot more stress on the tranny or any other parts when revving it that high?

This is an Alaniz built head with all supertech valve train. I was told it was capable to rev to 11,000, but I limited it to 9900 for safety.

Always replace head gaskets when the head is taken off.

You do not have to replace head studs, although it's a good idea. The service manual says you ca measure them for stretch, and if they are within spec you can re-use them.

If you plan to boost or what have you, arp's may not be a bad choice anyway.

Luckily jaundice gave me some arp headstuds and I will get a new oem gasket.

Curious now about how high you can safely rev an f20 w a fully built head.

If you can find a used one great.

I doubt you will see 10,000 rpm and power drops off before that. Limits of 9300 or 9500 are good numbers to red line at.

Don't send anything to Alaniz, he will keep it and send nothing back. He closed up his shop over 2 years ago and works out of his mother's garage ripping people off apparently. He has two of my heads, parts and money. He has had my heads for 3 years.

Hm, thanks for the info, do you have any insight into Ap1 vs ap2 exhaust cam? as to which one might be better for higher revs

Just interested as to why you want to rev so high? Like stated above the power usually drops off with these motors a good bit before 10,000. No use in putting that extra stress on the engine if it stops making power at lower rpms. Ask me how I know LOL!
I killed a b2ovtec turbo car trying to rev so high a couple years ago and it was filled with supertech stuff. Although when I got all my supertech valvetrain for my S I was told 10,500 would be no problem.
