Yep.. At least the widest one. Trying to find out what to do.
1. Get another stock block in good condition and put it all back together, or
2. Build an engine for 7-800hp during winter and put it back in.

Just checked Park Honda, and a new block and piston ring sets for all 4 piston cost just about $2000. That's cheaper than I thought. Maybe that would be the best option!

No way, people are charging way more than that on here. I recently saw someone selling one with 30-40k on it for like $2500+.

That's probably the best option, and you'll have a NEW bottom end. I paid just under $2,500 shipped for my new short block back in '09. Seems like prices have gone down a bit. I'll always remember opening up the box and seeing brand new EVERYTHING, you won't regret it (peace of mind). Good luck, and keep us posted.

I'm thinking of maybe going with the InlinePro built shortbock. Any thoughts on that?

"With its InlinePRO connection rods, CP pistons, ACL bearngs, AEBS sleeves, and much more. There is a guarranty of quality. With the knowing of performance parts Vivid Racing has to offer, there is no need to have concern with this InlinePRO short block."

what are you trying to accomplish is the real question. sure, if money is no object inlinpro built block is da shit. maybe a 10:1 block, or 10.5:1. but do you plan to make 700+?

I want a solution I can trust. With taxes, shipping etc to Norway the InlinePro short block wont be THAT much more expensive than just the new OEM block. And it will from what I think also be a solution that can handle more power without the biggest worries. Now I have been running 420whp, but who knows. Maybe I'll go harder next time/later, so to have an engine that could take maybe 600whp (just to pick a number) without too much concern would be great. I'm not sure if I could choose compression myself on those blocks, but maybe a bit lower comp than stock and some more boost is the way to go.
