very interesting...What about thread locker?
I used Locktite blue on mine also and it didn't help. The heat from the head just breaks it up like there wasn't even any used on the bolts. Stay away from the Loctite red unless you want the bolt threads to get ripped off and left in the head if you ever have to remove the manifold for anything.

There is also a thread in here somewhere from about 6 months or so ago and an engine overheat on a boosted s. I believe the guy ended up coming to the conclusion that it was the Hondata intake gasket.that caused it. He also posted up pics of the melted gasket.

Stock FTW! I had the Nextgear gasket and it also ended up leaking after awhile.

Hey ERL_s2000,

When you put the stock intake manifold on, did you have to use any Hondabond or anything on it to insure the water passages don't leak? Or did you just put the gasket on with nothing else? I haven't had a chance to look through my Helms manual yet to see what it says.

no hondabond needed with an OEM gasket.
I just replaced mine with a new OEM when I changed my head.

Cute little bunny's with less than 400 whp probably won't have any problems with it. Lol
