Default Intercooler Sizing

Guys I am starting to plan my next superchrger upgrade and was told the SOS aftercooler is maxed out at ~550WHP and ultimate racing's intercooler is only good for ~500whp. So I am left building my own Intercooler kit. I am wondering if Intercooler HP sizing is the same between turbo chargers and Super chargers?

Have you actually checked/logged your IAT temps? Honestly those ratings are a joke most of the time. If your IATs are fine, then what you have is fine... if they are too high then you can start worrying about a bigger intercooler.

well the new blower is ~2" larger so the stock SOS aftercooler will no longer mate up to the Throttle Body.

And yes I have the stock SOS with my CAI was only seeing 110 degress after ~ 15-20 1/8 mile runs at 22psi

I'm still using the somewhat small fmic that comes with the Greddy kit. My IATs are never more than 10-20 degrees above ambient. Get a precision 600 or similar and you'll be fine.

So a Precision 600 should be able to keep up with a Paxton Blower larger than a N1500?
