that neck down is basically a restrictor, i doubt the cold air is worth it
Show me your facts. Do you have measurements? This setup made 583 whp on 20 psi of boost on 93 octane gas with my last engine build. I don't think I have to worry abour restrictions on the intake.

Back on topic, I think hi temp engine enamel or brake paint will be your best bet. I personally would not risk warpage from any baked on finish. You have too much invested in that intake manifold.

Looks amazing btw

I say you have it polished... that wont warp anything and it will look AWESOME. I just had my intake welded/ported/polished and it looks great!

i never meant to say you had a bad setup or that you couldnt make good power with it all im saying is it looks like you have room to do an intake without a neck down (which is an obvious restriction) why not do it? I think anodizing is a good option if your worried about warping and i think it looks better and its certainly more durable... but 400*F shouldn't warp anything as long as the heat it and cool it fairly slowly

Not exactly a S2K, but on my turbo mr2 that I used to own, I powder coated a all aluminum aftermarket intake manifold (sheet metal) and had no problems with leaks out of the injector, or anything like that. I did it myself, in a oven right at 400

So is the $2900 for just the intake manifold, or ITB's too?

Im guessing just the intake?

Does your ITB have a TPS and what make is it?

Thanks.
