Link above is the solution I went with after tearing down my orig trans. Bottom line, S2K second gears are too far away from bearing support for more than 380 RWHP. Go past 380, shaft flexes, boom.

I have an 18K mile '04 trans I might be willing to part with. Worked great (I babied it while waiting for the severe duty solution to be prototyped). PM me if interested.

How much is it for this tranny swap? I would only need the tranny since I have the 300zx rearend and DSS driveshaft/axles. I mean, can you just buy the tranny from this guy and bolt it on and go or do you have to modify all kinds of stuff? Does the shifter fit like stock? How does this tranny do with shifting when reved to 9500 rpm?

Why dont we hear more about this setup if its working really good? You would think this guy would be a sponsor and be trying to hype this setup up for a solution for our tranny if it works that great.
