i swapped mine out for an afe 24-91030. works well and still fits in the intake box, and it's actually a 5.5" opening.

Ya the AFE filter is a perfect fit, I even posted pics of the inverted top filter and it works great

just to throw $0.02 in this thread...I went the opposite route as everyone I think. I bought a K&N that fit INSIDE the Comptech intake setup. worked for me.
