Do you want me to explain the setbacks from day one or just this one?

Ill just explain this one for now.

This rear obviously has a custom housing with a vent placed on the upper right portion of the housing which is nothing more than a brass nipple screwed into the housing. What I was asked to do was to run a hose from the vent to the highest point possible into the back of the car to allow for venting as the rear vents when it's warming up. And in doing so, air escaping out the vent may push fluid out in order for air to then escape. I ran the hose out the back of the rear towards the side of the car near the shock mounts, so the hose is at least 4 to 5 higher than the rear. Ran the car out on the street, came back and notice fluid under the car.
Put it on the jackstands and sure enough, it's coming out of the vent. Asked for advise again and I was told:
a) Your hose isnt high enough higher than the rear
b) you put too much fluid

So ok, now I ran the house all the way into the trunk
(is that high enough you think?) which is a length of about 5 feet coming up into the side of the trunk area.
Then I checked the fluid. I've always filled up differentials to where it starts dripping out of the bottom of the fill hole so to me there is nothing wrong with the level.
Ran the car again on jackstands at about 70-75PMH. After 5 minutes amazingly enough, the fluid travelled through 5 feet of hose and then into the trunk. Luckily I had put a see-through fuel filter at the end of the house in the trunk so I can see when the level rose.

I been recently told that the level should be below the fill plug. If you bend your finger inside the hole, the level should be at the tip of your finger.
I just seem to think that even if there is a bit more fluid that it just shouldn't pump that much fluid out the vent.

From talking to different people i've gotten:
a) fluid is overheating- (After 5 minutes????????, not sure I belive that)
b) Vent is in path of ring gear and ring gear is splashing fluid out the vent
c) Dont worry, it will only leak some then stop. (Will the level be at a safe level?, i've gotten a few yes and a few don't know)

As far as b goes, Kasper assures he never had any problems before w/ this rear.
And my question was:
Are these cars street driven or do they only see 12 seconds at a time of drag strip because obviously running the car for seconds at a time, will not be an issue.
The answer was, welll I never heard back from anybody.

So that's the purpose of my post to find out who these few people are that have the rear and if any issues.

Latest thing I did was purchase a breather/catch tank in case fluid backs out but that much fluid should not be coming out anyways

That's what I been thinking these days
I'll even take a stock Honda rear

Well, I chose the Chrysler as my preferred rear as I believe this rear will take just a bit more pounding over the NIssan Rear. I mean the Chrysler rear could blow up in a week, who knows but that was my decision and would like to make it work. I mean, who knows if by:

a) dropping the fluid level as I was told, it will stop venting out fluid
b) Moving the vent to a difference place it will stop venting out fluid

Holy crap, I would agree with you on the main concern. When will it stop venting, will there be any fluid left.....

Does the pumpkin get hot when you are doing runs on the jackstands?

Still want pics

exactly. I mean i'm sure that it won't probably completely drain all the fluid but the fluid that's left is it enough?
and no, the pumpkin barely gets hot after 5 min so I don't go w/ the idea that the fluid is foaming up/overheating

I think I get a chance tonight if it doesnt reain to finish installing the breather/catch can and lower the fluid to below the fill plug and we'll see.

Ill get the pics out when its up and running. Else you'll get pics of myself getting to know my rear better with my sledge hammer

And to install it as well I went through a roadcourse of a few issues, but I won't get into that now...
Updates ?
