Since it's not a 40 year old OEM gear and diff you shouldn't break it. Anything can happen on a dragstrip though. If you are using a stock trans, expect 2nd gear to be short lived.

yeah that's what I was thinking. The tranny will probably go first and this is my second tranny.

Honda engine and trans in a Barracuda. The car already has a 8 3/4 axle
