Without an oil scavenging pump, the oil drain has to flow down hill and utilize gravity. This turbo is mounted below the level of the oil pan and running the oil drain to the timing cover would be running the oil up hill.

Ptuning wanted a kit that didnt' involve tapping anything. Everything on the kit is made to be conmplete bolt and reversible. Also the turbo sits really low and I don't think gravity drain would work completely, not completely sure about that though.

Lookin good! I like the choice of the recirculated dumptube as it won't sound like you're trying to wake the dead when the wastegate opens w/ the open dumptube.

My opinion has always been that why have hot exhaust gas exit anywhere near the engine or passenger compartment.

Lol the open dump is quiet unless in boost. I personally loved it! When I'm pulling I don't care about how loud it is. It's quieter that some of those annoying Harley owners honestly. But to each his own.

I love the looks I get from the open dump when going WOT. Cruising it's non-existent.

Yep exactly. Open dump made the wife giggle every time! Wasn't sure about it when I heard other people talk about it. Never regretted open dump from day one. Car sounds bad ass with open dump. It's no louder than a mustang with an after market exhaust. You will make more power with an open dump.

The good thing with Ptuning kit is you can try it and if you don't like it you can recirculate it.

Open/recirculated dumptubes are a personal preference. I just like being more discrete, and can't stand aftermarket exhausts anymore either. I had an open dumptube on my old car, and late at night getting on it it would wake the dead. It's bad enough with an exhaust going WOT with a lot of people/traffic around, but open dumptube is a whole nother level.
