What are the aftermarket drive shafts causing? I've had my DSS 1000 whp driveshaft for a while with no problems. I did have it straightened and rebalanced before installing it though.
I did not do this before installing. Broke three cases on the tailshaft. Rebalanced it afterwards, never had another problem.

I wasn't aware people were having any issues w/the stock drive shafts. Why the need to replace them?

Sorry guys I've been super busy @ work!

I've been running a Steel Driveshaft that I had made to fit my KP 8.8 rear end. I've been runing it for 2 years without any issues. The only thing that i've change in the last 2 years is that I went from the PPG Synchromesh to the PPG Dog Box gears.

But we think that the problems is with the aluminum spacer that I had made, because it got dropped a couple times & it got damage and off balance!

As of right now that's the only thing we have found.

The PPG Dog Box tranny that I got was from the Red Star Motoring S2King that they've been using for the last 2-3 years. The only difference from there car to mine is that I have the Innovate almost solid motor mounts. And we kind of think that where the tranny mounts is, we think is to weak. So we are going to put back the stock mount on the tranny, together with a NEW aluminum spacer for the tranny to the driveshaft.

We are getting ready to instal the tranny back on the car today!

If everything goes good, we rented the Orlando Speedway this Saturday to test the s2000 & the Kings Performance / Procco EVO that they just ran 8.8 @ 159mph twice this past sunday.

I'll keep you guys posted!

Ahhhh......Good to know. I guess it was smart of me to have the shaft checked and rebalanced then before ever installing it.
